Barry leads the Automation world by example, with technical knowledge that is second-to-none. His easy-going nature, impeccable attention to detail, and tireless work ethic ensure your project will exceed expectations with seamless integration. With over twenty years in the Automation and Electrical, Industries Barry has played a pivotal role in the design program, installation and commission of large-scale projects such as Fonterra’s Darfield Dry Stores, PGG Wrightson Seeds warehouse, Southland Stadium, Foodstuffs Supermarkets, Forte’ Health, McDonald’s Restaurants and high-end residential projects.
Barry is the Managing Director of Matrix Automation and the primary contact for Sales.
Barry is a registered electrician and has evolved to be proficient in Clipsal C bus, Philips Dynalite, Control4, Zen Controls, Audio/Visual Solutions, Datacomms, Security and access control.
Nick James
Director
Nick is a Chartered Accountant and business consulting and management specialist. Nick has played a pivotal role in many successful companies in Christchurch in diverse industries such as construction, equipment rental, electrical etc. Nick’s experience includes business mentoring and managing change to help promote sustainable business practices.
Nick and Barry have combined their skills to manage this growing business and provide the perfect mix of business experience and specific programming and automation expertise.
Nick’s role within Matrix Automation is the Chief finance officer and manages but is not limited to; forecasts, cash flow, accounts payable and receivable. As well as General accounting
Bonham Lauder
General Manager
Bonham is a Registered electrician. With over ten years of experience in various domestic and commercial electrical installations, including renovations, new builds, heat pumps, structured cabling, and Audio-Visual Systems.
Bonham is the General manager at Matrix Automation; his role includes scheduling and time management and tends to the Staff’s needs.
Bonham loves unique jobs, from wiring themed bars to brilliant lighting facades when required. Bonham is trained in C-Bus, Dynalite, Control4, and Security systems. Bonham is proud of steering the team to achieve excellent results in the designing, programming, installing, and commissioning of automated systems within New Zealand.
